Next to the hotel lies Madz Kitchen, a one-of-a-kind restaurant specialising in Macanese cuisine. As a national-level Intangible Cultural Heritage, Macanese cuisine is an exclusive local culinary style unique to Macau.
One artistic drill-carved mural by Portuguese street artist Vhils (Alexandre Farto) is placed indoors and another outdoors respectively, boasting tremendous ornamental value.
The indoor wall holds an amazing optical illusion with two distinct visuals from different angles: viewed from the left, it depicts a soft, elegant young lady; from the right, it transforms into a town landscape engraved with Chinese characters.
A mural themed on elderly figures is hidden near the back door. It is incredibly rare for a single restaurant to house two masterpieces by this world-renowned artist.
The restaurant’s proprietor is a Macanese Portuguese. All core raw materials including seasonings, cooking oil, ham, cheese and wines are imported directly from Portugal, authentically recreating the original flavours of Macanese cuisine.
Signature Popular Dishes:
🍗 Portuguese Roast Chicken
The restaurant’s flagship signature dish. Marinated with secret ancestral Macanese recipes then slow-roasted in ovens, the chicken meat stays tender and juicy, permeated with exclusive spice aromas. Almost every table orders this dish for photos.
